DRUG COURT CLINICIAL- CONTRACT POSITION

- Provides clinical services to court-mandated participants enrolled in the Orleans Parish Drug Court Program Intensive Outpatient Program.
- Facilitates group counseling sessions (focused on addressing addiction and criminogenic needs), individual counseling sessions, and/or family therapy as outlined in the participants’ treatment plans.
- Participates in weekly staff meetings with the Clinical Supervisor to provide an update on participant’s progress towards their treatment goals
- If requested by a Judge, attends weekly Drug Court Status Hearings and provides clinical recommendations to the Court.
- Maintains clinical case files for each participant, including case notes and attendance notes.
- Maintain an awareness of drug court best practices.
- Applicant must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC). Provisionally licensed individuals are ineligible for this position.
- Master’s degree in Counseling or Clinical Social Work from an accredited program.
- Skilled in individual and group therapy modalities.
- Experience in substance abuse treatment modalities preferred.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of substance use disorders and mental health disorders.
- Proficient written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to be creative and flexible within parameters of treatment programs and modalities.
- This is a contracted position in which applicants are paid an hourly rate for each hour of clinical services provided. No benefits are included. Hourly rate: $45.00 per clinical hour.10 Hours Per Week x $45.00 per hour
Group Schedule - Thursday 10am-1pm, 1:30pm-3:30pm and 4:30pm-6:30pm
Friday 9:30am - 12:30pm - Consistent, guaranteed weekly group schedule.
- All contract employees are subject to the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures, and Safety Manual.
