About the Judicial Law Clerk Position: Orleans Parish Criminal District Court Judge Nandi F Campbell is accepting applications for the full-time position of Judicial Law Clerk. The Judicial Law Clerk will collaborate directly with Judge Campbell performing legal research, preparing memoranda, opinions, orders, jury instructions, and other writings as required. Additionally, the Clerk will communicate orally and in writing with pro se litigants, attorneys, court personnel, and other members of the public as directed. This is an in-person position that will require attending all court proceedings such as arraignments, motions, hearings, pre-trial conferences, and trials.

Pretrial Services Case Manager

The Pretrial Services Supervision Program supervises clients ordered to participate in the program by the Court using the least restrictive supervision possible as dictated by the risk posed by the client.
Job Requirements

This position provides security for the Court Intervention Services (CIS) Office. Work is performed under the Field Agent Supervisor.
Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide security for altercations that may arise in the office.
- Transport subjects from Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office (OPSO) holding to the CIS Office.
- Handle any business requested by the Judges or Judicial Administrator.

- Provides individual trauma therapy sessions for co-occurring substance dependent court-mandated participants enrolled in the Orleans Parish Drug Court Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Program.· Meets individually with participants to process recent arrests, family problems and healthy relationships.
- Maintains updated electronic files for each client, including case and attendance notes using the AIMS Case Management System.
- This position is funded by a 48-month Bureau of Justice Assistance grant and reports to the Court Services Administrator.

- Refer participants to appropriate treatment programs, counseling agencies, institutions, community partners, education programs, employment and housing assistance as needed.
- Meet weekly with all active participants to monitor their progress in the program and promptly record journal notes for each participant.
- Monitor compliance of court issued Protective Orders.

- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, supervisors and other departments including being sensitive to professional ethics; gender, racial, and cultural diversities; and physical, mental and/or emotional disabilities.
- Ability to provide public access to or maintain confidentiality of Court information and records according to state law and Court rules.
- Ability to comply with all Court and department policies and work rules, including, but not limited to, attendance, safety, drug-free workplace and personal conduct.
- All Case Managers must display a positive attitude and work as a team, being mindful that they work with the public and their job performance reflects upon Criminal District Court.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
