Position Overview:
The Drug Court Clinical Supervisor at the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court provides leadership and oversight for the clinical services delivered to participants in the Drug Court Program. This role supports the mission of the Court to reduce recidivism and substance use among justice-involved individuals through treatment, supervision, and accountability. The Clinical Supervisor ensures high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based treatment practices while working closely with the judiciary, legal partners, case managers, and behavioral health professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Applicant must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LPC-S or LCSW-BACS Preferred.
• Master’s degree in Counseling or Clinical Social Work from an accredited program.
• Skilled in individual and group therapy modalities.
• Experience in substance abuse treatment modalities preferred.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of substance use disorders and mental health disorders.
• Proficient written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to be creative and flexible within parameters of treatment programs and modalities.
• Must possess a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
Roles, Responsibilities, & Duties
• Provides clinical services to court-mandated participants enrolled in the Orleans Parish Drug Court Program Intensive Outpatient Program.
• Provides weekly individual supervision to Drug Court clinicians.
• Completes clinical assessments and treatment plans.
• Manages clinician schedules and ensures that treatment groups affected by clinician absences have coverage.
• When necessary, facilitates group counseling sessions (focused on addressing addiction and criminogenic needs), individual counseling sessions, and/or family therapy as outlined in the clients’ treatment plans.
• Participates in weekly interdisciplinary staff meetings with case managers, probation officers, Judges, Clinicians and other team members.
• Attends weekly Drug Court Status Hearings and provides clinical recommendations to the court.
• Conducts clinical assessments, such as biopsychosocial and addiction assessments, at clinical intake and as needed throughout the client’s participation in program.
• Creates and updates each client’s Individualized Treatment Plan.
• Maintains clinical case files for each participant, including case notes, attendance notes, assessments, Individual Treatment Plans, and discharge summaries.
• Facilitates referrals to outside treatment agencies when a higher level of care is recommended, per ASAM Criteria.
• Maintains an awareness of Drug Court best practices.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Composing Treatment Plans, and adept at Multitasking.

- Serve as the primary administrator for the Court Case Management System, ensuring the system operates efficiently and securely.

- Provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and offer training to end-users on the proper usage of the CCMS.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular updates, and ensure data integrity within the system.
- Implement security protocols to protect sensitive case data and ensure compliance with legal standards and privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements for system improvements or enhancements.
- Work with external vendors or developers for system upgrades, fixes, and troubleshooting.
